SAMSUNG, BRUNO AVEILLAN

Bruno recently traveled to the quarries of the Czech Republic to bring an epic medieval battle into the palm of the viewer's hand with his new campaign for the Samsung Galaxy S out of Leo Burnett, Chicago. "Epic" exhibits Bruno's seamless blend of artistic and cutting-edge effects ultimately showing Samsung's attempt to bring cinema quality entertainment to the palm of your hand. See it here.
NIKE INSPIRE, GERARD DE THAME

Ten months after the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami hit Japan, Gerard de Thame landed in Tokyo to help bring "New Beginnings" with his latest spot for Nike out of Wieden + Kennedy / Tokyo. With parts of the country still in ruins and emotions still raw, de Thame found inspiration in the strength of the people he met and filmed. The director notes, "In people finding themselves through sport, there's the collective message of how people can pull together after tragedy." The spot uses the metaphor of sport to show how Japanese athletes of all types refuse to let their spirits be broken in the face of catastrophe. See it here.
ABSOLUT VODKA, FLORIA SIGISMONDI

Floria Sigismondi helps continue Absolut's history of collaboration with emerging artists in a new campaign for ABSOLUT BLANK out of TBWA/Chiat/Day NY. 20 artists from around the globe were invited to use the brand's iconic bottle shape as a blank canvas for their creative disciplines. They all converged in Lisbon to finish their artworks and shoot a campaign that has become an art piece in itself. Floria uses her unique visual style to showcase the artists and their work - including painting, sculpture, filmmaking, light installations and murals - "It all starts with an Absolut Blank." See it here.
DR DRE AND EMINEM, ALLEN HUGHES

Director Allen Hughes lends his creative touch to the highly anticipated "I Need A Doctor." Hughes directed the latest video by veteran hip-hop artist and producer Dr. Dre and protege Eminem. The video stars the legendary rapping duo and features vocalist Skylar Grey. Hughes' superb style shines though as the video recaps Dr. Dre's career and partnership with Eminem, making it the 2nd single off Dre's much talked about and self proclaimed last solo album "Detox." See it here.
SUPERMAN: MAN OF STEEL, ZACK SNYDER

Zack has been chosen to direct the next installment of Superman: Man of Steel for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures alongside producer Christopher Nolan and writer Divid S. Goyer.
SWAROVSKI, BRUNO AVEILLAN

Bruno Aveillan's short film; "Discover Your Light" for SWAROVSKI is dreamlike, conceptual and exotic. Shot on 35mm film, using anamorphic lenses, by DoP Patrick Duroux and slated for theatrical release, Aveillan takes us on an impressionistic journey that is at once mystical, suspenseful and, like its heroine, beautiful to behold..
BOARDWALK EMPIRE, MAURICE MARABLE

Continuing his long standing relationship with HBO, Maurice Marable was given access to the outstanding cast and set of the hit series "Boardwalk Empire." His latest promo for the highly anticipated 2nd season already has fans on the edge of their seat wondering what will become of Nucky Thompson's fragile prohibition empire. In addition to his HBO work, Maurice has been busy directing back to back spots with Believe which will be released in the coming month.  See it here.
TOM FORD, BELIEVE

We are pleased to announce the video launch of Tom Ford's womenswear SS2011 fashion show.  In September Tom Ford held an intimate and exclusive gathering to present his SS2011 highly anticipated return to womanwear at his Madison Avenue boutique. He commissioned Believe Media to produce the film and collaborated with Believe director Maurice Marable and DP Zak Mulligan to capture the event. The film is being featured on the Tom Ford website in conjunction with the release of his new line.  See it at tomford.com
GHD, FLORIA SIGISMONDI

Floria's spot/short film for GHD out of RKCR/Y&R London which has received a lot of attention being featured on Creatvity-Online, SHOTS Insight section and picked as Campaign UK's Ad of the Day. The film is a beautifully crafted piece taking on the classic Cinderella story clearly shown through Floria's unique creative vision and set to music by LA based band Le Rev. See it here.

His ability to develop stories, direct talent and make automotive spots shine is exceptional. BBC CHRISTMAS, BEN WINSTON

Featuring all of our BBC favourites under one roof, Ben combines technical effects and engaging performances to produce a stunning BBC Christmas extravaganza. We are also delighted to welcome Ben to Believe. We are currently in pre-production on JLS Sports Relief music video 'Proud'.
WELCOME, ERICK IFERGAN

MAX & DANIA, STREET DANCE 2 (3D)

We are eagerly awaiting the much-anticipated new feature from Max And Dania, 'Street Dance 2'. Another 3D extravaganza, the film follows hot on the dancing heels of the pair's first feature - which was a No.1 box office smash last year - and promises to be just as electrifying as its predecessor. With fresh new cast additions and locations that span London, Paris, Rome and Berlin, the film is set to go supernova upon its release in March 2012. See the trailer here.
BELIEVE IN THE SUPERBOWL

Three Believe spots have made AdAge and Creativity's list of "Top 20 Best Super Bowl Ads Ever." Both Budweiser spots "Respect" and "Replay" directed by Zack Snyder have made the cut. Also on the list is director Charles Stone III's iconic "Wassup" spot - also for Budweiser. See Charles Stone III's award winning follow up to "Wassup"— True Change
CROCS, RORY KELLEHER

This charming film 'Encounters' takes the animated characters on to the next stage after Rory's first spot for the brand, as they vie for the children's attention.
FISHERMAN'S FRIEND, DAVID HARTLEY

Hartley's latest spot marries his trade-mark understated humour and real-life observational skills with cinematic sensibilities to create (in the words of David Reviews) an "amusing spoof (that) suggests the advertised product is so strong it has to be made in a foundry. A young man supervises combining all the ingredients and then tastes the resulting medicating sweet. Which means it's time to make another... obviously."
CANNES, SONY MARILYN, MARCELO BURGOS

Marcelo Burgos was busy last week, picking up a lot of silverware to adorn his shelves. While sunbathing in Cannes, Marcelo picked up two Silver Lions and two Bronze Lions for his Sony Cybershot "Einstein" and "Marilyn" spots while his Sony Playstation "Victor" spot picked up a Silver and a Bronze. All in a day's work. Marcelo will be available for work after he detoxes from an extraordinary champagne hangover. Behind Marilyn Monroe's dynamite smile is a clumsy little secret. Director Marcelo Burgos shows us the very very big picture in his campaign for Sony and the brand's Cybershot panorama capabilities. See it here.
WELCOME, MICHAEL BERNARD

Believe Media are delighted to welcome Michael Bernard. Michael spent many years as one of the most respected DP's shooting for Albert Watson, David La Chapelle,Frank Budgen,Marcus Nispel, Rocky Morton amongst others. Wherever possible he still DP's his own work. His directing break came with Victoria Secrets, creating some of the most powerful campaigns for them, featuring Gisele Budchen.

SMIRNOFF, TOMATO

Tomato typography in virtual vodka. Triple distilled and beautifully reflective. Brand new spot for Smirnoff out of JWT. See it here.
WAYNE HOLLOWAY, JACKPOT JOY

Wayne Holloway offers up his latest spots for Jackpot Joy, featuring Barbara Windsor, in a campaign that is joyfully simple, directly communicative, endlessly watchable. The director has drawn truly lovable performances from Windsor, resulting in a series of spots that are fresh and funny, while also welcoming and familiar in their comedic tone.
BANG & OLUFSEN, CAROLE DENIS

Carole's new spot is a contemporary twist on the Little Red Riding Hood story to showcase the new wireless B&O speakers.
ASUS, ANDY MORAHAN

Fresh off of his Top Five UK box office hit with groundbreaking 3D concert movie ‘JLS: Eyes Wide Open’, Andy delivers another striking and enigmatic piece in the shape of Asus 'Peacocks, In Search Of Incredible’.

Deep in the Spanish countryside outside Barcelona, this stunningly beautiful spot blends subtle humour and understated intrigue with Andy’s trademark cinematic style. Though Morahan breaks one of the unwritten cardinal rules here (‘never work with children or animals’) - boldly filling a gothic cathedral with roaming peacocks - he was happy to report a minimum of fuss from his avian artists, with “almost no diva moments from the peacocks whatsoever”.

The spot is at once classical in style, yet simultaneously built on beautiful camera movement and edit style that can be described as ‘thoughtfully energetic’, creating a sense of tension and mystery from the off. Andy continues to blend his vast experience with a keen sense of adventure… and we continue to be amazed at what he achieves.
SHANGRI-LA, BRUNO AVEILLAN

Bruno Aveillan directed the "It's in our nature" spot for the luxury hotel chain Shangri-La out of Ogilvy which shows a lost and freezing traveler being accepted and saved by wolves as they share their warmth in a frigid landscape. See it here.
STUDIO OF THE YEAR, TOMATO

Tomato takes home studio of the year at Grafik Design Awards. The winners of the Grafik Design Awards were announced last week at a very exclusive ceremony at the Adam Street Members Club in London. The amount of graphic design talent gathered together in one room was mind-boggling — legends such as Wim Crouwel and Peter Saville, established studios including Pentagram, Tomato and GTF, judges Phil Baines, Sara de Bondt, Marina Willer, Emily King and Kate Moross were all in attendance. Wim Crouwel presented the much-anticipated award for Best Studio. Tomato were the very worthy winners, with Pentagram and Praline runners-up.
